eCycle and GrCI Partner for Sustainability

Through cartridge testing and recycling, Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Institute (GrCI) and eCycle Group have pooled knowledge and resources to address two essentially important concerns of the international consumer and commercial community—quality and sustainability.

As the need for cost savings increase, more consumers are choosing less expensive printer cartridges from OEMs and remanufacturers. However, even at lower prices, consumers are expecting the same quality from OEMs and remanufacturers as higher priced cartridges.

I. O. Technologies Distance Learning Projects

I.O. Technologies and the Graphic Communication Institute have partnered on several exciting projects benefiting the printing and publishing industry. Most recently, GrCI reviewed and validated course content for the I.O. Technologies On-Line Learning Center (ollé™) distance learning application. This content is a key component of a new effort to bring graphic arts training to Mainland China, an effort also in cooperation with NPES and the US State Department.

I.O. Technologies and GrCI also worked together to bring online training to newspaper professionals worldwide. The first course developed as a result of this partnership is an overview course exploring CTP for the newspaper industry.
