Mail Boxes Etc.
Even though I have 12 years of print experience, I learned quite a bit!
— MBE Training Program Participant
Mail Boxes, Etc. (MBE), a part of the UPS Store network, and GrCI teamed up this year to bring MBE the training and knowledge necessary to give them an advantage in high quality short-run print production. “As small businesses look for cost-effective marketing solutions, we feel this training enables us to enhance the print capabilities and support infrastructure for The UPS Store network,” said Bill Martin, the company’s vice president of print services. “Eighty percent of the U.S. population lives within five miles of one of The UPS Store’s nearly 4,400 branches, allowing us to efficiently serve the print needs of individuals, small businesses and enterprise customers with distributed workforces.”
Over a six month period, nearly 150 MBE representatives were trained directly at GrCI's classroom and bindery lab facilities. From there, those 150 will go back to their respective home franchises and teach their employees what they learned. “It was an excellent program. Even though I have 12 years of print experience, I learned quite a bit!”, said one participant. “The staff was excellent. They kept it interesting and really spent the time to get to know our business.”
